So, I have signed up for one of these. My chance to tell the world what I think of things.
Now, really, why would I want to do that? There are enough “Views and Opinions” out there by uninformed and illinformed people as is, without my contribution to the morass of information, or, to be more accurate, timewasting masquerading as information.
Further to that, as someone who aspires to write for a living (they all start like this, don’t they), why in the name of Alfred Nobel, would I wish to grant tot he unseeing world a freebie every now and then. I should buy a diary and squirrel it all in there, to be dipped into at leisure and taken from as necessary.
Well, I have, and time will tell if I bother to maintain it or expand upon it, or (as is most likely) expound upon it. So armed with feeble wit, random guestimate, rampant opinion, and several thousand commas, I plunge into the world of the blog. Wish me luck, or terseness, depending on your views and opinions…

Strangely enough I note that your offline reading list coincides somewhat with my own. Bought The Great Gatsby for a joyously cheap €2.90 yesterday! Have yet to start it though. Book-club entry to come in time I wonder?
